How do you see how many followers a LinkedIn profile has?

To see your own LinkedIn followers, open your profile and click the follower count under your headline, or go to your dashboard and choose Followers. To see someone else's follower count, open their profile: the number appears under their headline only if they have made it public. Company page followers are always visible.

How do you make your follower count public?
Settings, then Visibility, then Followers. Two switches matter: whether people can follow you without connecting, and whether your follower count is displayed on your profile. Turning both on makes Follow the default button, which is what you want if you publish.
Can you see someone else's follower count?
You can see another person's follower count only when they have made it public. It appears under their headline, next to their connection count. You cannot see who follows them, only how many, and that is deliberate.
When the count is hidden, you are left with the connection number, which shows as 500+ for most active professionals and tells you very little. Two workarounds help: check whether recent posts show reactions in the hundreds rather than single digits, and look at whether their profile button says Follow, which usually means they have deliberately turned follower mode on.
How do you see company page followers?
Company page follower counts are always public and sit at the top of the page. Admins get more in the analytics tab: growth over time, and a breakdown by job function, seniority, industry, company size and location. Nothing similar exists for personal profiles.
